Transportable containerized shooting range – Innovation from Bumar

At this year\\'s MSPO Fair the Bumar Ltd Co. presents a brand new product - transportable containerized shooting range. The performance of prototype is the work of Womasz company from Wolsztyn.

Containerized shooting range is used to practice firing a fire arms. It is transportable. On its basis a shooting range can be organized in any place and for any time period. The comprehensive dimensions as well as the lack of permanent joint to the ground allow to avoid a legal problems related to construction of small shooting ranges. This shooting range is at least a one order of magnitude cheaper than conventional roofed shooting range.

Developed in Bumar the concept for containerized shooting ranges comprises four programmes / specialized versions designed for different recipients.

1. Shooting range for police

The shooting range set for police consists of two joined container, in which a firing over short distance from 1 to 15 meters can be practicing. A housing made of special butts allows to practice a secure firing in the area limited with an angle of 180º, what enables to practice a realistic and dynamic firing. The trainees may use a few possibilities in target positioning such as traditional (to practice the firing basis), spatially statistical (to practice situational firing), as well as they may use the targets placed on different swivels (to practice dynamic firing).

The purpose of such shooting range is to enable to practice firing a short arm for constabulary police officers as well as for crews from other service / posts, for example, from Border Guards.

The complete containerized shooting range for police can also be equipped with the first-use ammunition storehouse.

2. Military shooting range

The military shooting range is a simple development of shooting range for police. I this case, at a cost to loss the mobility in favour of modularity an object is created designed for practicing the firing over a distance of 50-100 m. This shooting range allows to learn and practice the firing both a short and a long arms.

3. Tactical Shooting range

This concept uses natural features of containerized technology, i.e. possibility to almost unlimited connection of individual components both horizontally as well as vertically. Compared with previous shooting ranges, in this case there are additional prefabricated components used to joint a few containers together. The design is similar in some extend to airplane passenger gateway and allows to connect individual component with angle, and even to position containers one on top of the other.

4. School (district) shooting range

The purpose of building the shooting range of such type is to create possibility to practice firing for secondary school children carried out particularly in the framework of civil defence preparation and physical education and to create a basic network of district shooting ranges designed for inhabitants.

The school shooting range is transported in a folded state on few semi trailers. After reaching its destination place the shooting range is unfolded and its containers are the building blocks. After elapsing the period of its use, the shooting range can be folded again, placed into containers and transported into another place.
