On September 8, 2008, during the first day of MSPO Fair, just after exhibition inauguration, the pavilion of Bumar Group was visited by official delegation of the Ministry of National Defence headed by Bogdan Klich, the Minister of National Defence. In the composition of this delegation was also present the Under Secretary of State for Armaments and Modernization, Zenon Kosiniak-Kamysz, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, Gen Franciszek Gągor. Visiting the most of companies\' stands, the delegation familiarized themselves with the up-to-date offer of the Bumar Group.
The Weapon Factory ŁUCZNIK has presented, as a product innovation, a new version of military gun - RAD 08. It came into existence in response to technical and tactical brief foredesign connected with an introduction a new military gun supplied with ammunition rounds of 9x19 mm Para. The design has a body made of aluminium, Picatinny universal assembly rail (Mil-Std 1913), and a magazine for 15 rounds (optionally for 18 rounds). This new weapon has to constitute a supplementary range of products manufactured by the Weapon Factory ŁUCZNIK, which currently offers on the market, among others, the Walter P-99 gun often being purchased by Polish Police and the Border Guards.
Minister B. Klich was the first person who fired a RAD gun as a part of ceremonial product premiere held at transportable containerised shooting range - another product innovation from Bumar. Containerized shooting range is used to practice firing a fire arms. It is transportable. On its basis a shooting range can be organized in any place and for any time period. The comprehensive dimensions as well as the lack of permanent joint to the ground allow to avoid a legal problems related to construction of small shooting ranges.
Supplementing the RAD gun presentation, the President of the Board of the Weapon Factory Radom, Tomasz Nita, held a lecture titled "The concept for starting the production of fire arms for Polish Army" at the press conference "New Technologies in Armament Systems" organized by the Military University of Technology (WAT). Also, the President of the Board of the Bumar Ltd Co., E. E. Nowak, as a representative of Polish Defence Industry (ppo), held a presentation titled "Polish Defence Industry as a partner for the Ministry of National Defence", whereas the President of the Board of ZM Bumar Łabędy Plc., W. Patoła, depicted for listeners "The Industrial Concept of XXI Century Tank"
