For the successive time, Bumar Group took part in Baltic Military Fair MILITARY – EXPO 2008. Minister of National Defence Bogdan Klich assumed honorary patronage over the event. More than 120 exhibitors from 11 countries presented their state-of-the-art arms and equipment. The Tenth Rescue, Security, Personal and Object Protection SAFETY Fair accompanied the jubilee Tenth Baltic Military Fair. The Balt Military Expo Fair is the only event in Poland having a military-maritime profile. The Fair is organised chiefly with the Navy in mind but also for special troops, border guards, fire brigade, the police as well as maritime and land rescue services. The Fair coincided with this year’s Navy Holiday and the Fifth World Rally of Polish Seamen. Gdynia hosted veteran seamen fighting on Polish warships at seas and oceans during World War II. The rally lasted until 30 June of this year. Sightseeing warships, parade drill show and celebrations commemorating the history of Polish marine arms – were the most important events of this year’s celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the Polish Navy. Bumar representatives took part in the roll call of the fallen in tribute to the sailors, who departed for the eternal watch (Navy Cemetery in Gdynia Oksywie) and in other ceremonies accompanying the Fifth World Rally of Seamen.
