Bumar Implements New SAP System

Bumar has become operational in the new SAP ERP HCM system. This HR and payroll module based on preconfigured HR Box solution and technological areas of SAP Basis. The system was implemented by the consortium of GAVDI Polska S.A. and it Works S.A. companies.

- The IT system which we used until now couldn’t meet our expectations any longer. We needed a modern solution which would fulfil our current needs, correspond to the new structure of the company and its implementation would be carried out quickly and effectively. Time and proven functionality of the system were a priority for us. Thanks to cooperation with the consortium of GAVDI Polska and it Works companies the project was implemented in just four months and we are already looking forward to productively settling the first payroll in the new system – said Mr. Romasz Zaprzalski, the project manager in Bumar.

The main objective of the project was to replace the company’s previously working IT system used to handling the payroll. The project which started in October 2011, found its ending in early January this year. Implementation of management the organisational structure, as well as HR and payroll has been entrusted to the consortium of GAVDI Polska S.A. and it Works S.A.

HR module was implemented by consultants of GAVDI Polska based on the original preconfigured HR Box solution – base containing know-how of GAVDI as standardised HR processes, their configuration in SAP system, as well as tools to help in the optimisation and documentation of the implementation of  the system. HR Box solution was subsequently extended with functionality defined by Bumar to cover the needs of the company resulting from the scale of operations and the branch in which it operates.

- Implementation of HR and payroll based on the preconfigured solution is ideal for projects, where time is the priority factor and work must be done quickly and efficiently like in military – emphasises Mr. Sławomir Stępień, Commercial Director of GAVDI Polska S.A. Due to the customer’s specific requirements, while implementing this project we extended our product and include accounts of foreign workers, which greatly increased the complexity and functionality of the system – he adds.

- Implementation of SAP HCM system in Bumar company was exceptional, especially with given timeframe of the project and the specificity of Bumar. We are even more satisfied that after four month from the start of the implementation works, we can talk about successful completion of the project – says Mr. Paweł Jachyra, Commercial Director of it Works S.A.
According to the plans of Bumar company, the consortium will implement Planning of Personal Costs project (Planowanie Kosztów Osobowych) later this year.
