Accession To Contract About WZT-3 For India

Accession to the contract about WZT-3 Armoured Recovery Vehicles (Wozy Zabezpieczenia Technicznego WZT-3) for India – meeting on 27th January 2012 in Łabędy.

On 27th January this year, there was a combined meeting of Bumar sp. z o.o. Management Board and Zakłady Mechaniczne “Bumar-Łabędy” plc Management Board. The theme was the accession to the contract about WZT-3 Armoured Recovery Vehicles for India. The meeting was attended by President of the Board of Bumar, Mr. Edward E. Nowak, Director of Finance, Irena Kwiatkowska PhD, Marketing and Sales Director, Mr. Włodzimierz Gałuszkiewicz, Director of Restructuring, Mr. Adam Ogrodnik and Director of Export Department- Indian Subcontinent, Ms. Urszula Ściborowska. The party of ZM “Bumar-Łabędy” was represented by President of the Board and General Director, Mr. Józef Zakrzewski, Mr. Antoni Szulborski and Mr. Tomasz kruczek. Both Boards have agreed on a common schedule of activities regarding the contract signed on 17th January this year between Bumar sp. z o.o. and BEML Limited to deliver 204 WZT-3 Armoured Recovery Vehicles to Ministry of Defence of India.

During the meeting many key issues were discussed, i.e. concerning, among others, financing the contract, shipment of first eight units of the vehicles, appointing ceratin people to be responsible for all key areas.

Steering Committee was established. Its role will be to make key decisions for the execution of the contract. The committee will include representatives of both parties and Mr. Włodzimierz Gałuszkiewicz will be in position of the Head of the Committee.

In addition to the committee, Contract Team was also appointed. It will be responsible for the proper conduct and implementation of the contract in all aspects of manufacturing, logistics and trade.

President Nowak handed down an order to carry out the production of the vehicles to Mr. Józef Zakrzewski. Having done a review, as well as final arrangements of financial conditions, by the end of next week the final contract about manufacturing the vehicles will have been signed between the companies in accordance with the terms of the contract signed in India.

During the meeting, a great importance of the contract, as well as the Indian market to Bumar was constantly emphasised. With the implementation of this contract Zakłady Mechaniczne “Bumar-Łabędy” plc are able to obtain sustainable profitability. It is profitable both for Bumar sp. z o.o. and Bumar-Łabędy, thus both companies will jointly pursue to implement it, bearing responsibility for minimising the risks involved.

Mr. Józef Zakrzewski announced transparency of all processes involved in the implementation of the contract and the optimalisation of logistics and production processes. He highlighted the special signification of improving the organisation of production and the need for maximum mobilisation of manufacturing in the current employment level in Bumar-Łabędy.
